Born and educated in Leicester where I completed a degree in Fine Art and latterly Manchester, I moved to Rossendale over nine years ago with my family. Over recent years I have been involved with cataloguing and curating the work of Dave Pearson and curating at The Whitaker Museum and Art Gallery. In 2019 I was lucky enough to be offered a space in a studio, this has reignited a passion for my artistic practice. I am enjoying experimenting and seeing where my journey takes me next.

My practice is heavily rooted in landscape, I am never without my camera and sketch book. Currently I am drawn to liminal edge like spaces, where man rubs up against nature, hedgerows, plantations, abandoned machinery. Work made on site is investigated further through the medium of print currently I am making etchings and mono-prints. This work then goes onto inform my painting practice. Familiarity with subject matter grows, and this is slowly leading into an informed abstraction.

I am part of the Valley Artists Group Studio
