Alan Birch is an artist and printmaker based in The Rossendale Valley. He is a committed educator with over 20 years experience of running workshops in schools, hospitals and galleries. He is the print specialist at the Whitworth and Manchester Museum and runs regular printmaking classes in his studio in Waterfoot.

Alan is an artist and printmaker mainly specialising in drawings, etchings and drypoints. Humour features prominently in his work, with inspiration taken from news stories, observations of society and latterly medieval religious illustrations. He has recently added 7 new Later-Day Saints in response to the current pandemic.

He has work in many collections in the UK, Europe and the US.
