I have been a teacher for 37 years, Deputy Head of a large local grammar school for the past 25 years. Although my main teaching has been modern British and European History in my last two years I also taught A level Photography reflecting my passion for this subject.
I have recently retired and am using my photography mainly to raise money for a local charity, Rossendale RAYS, which provides swimming opportunities for disabled young people enabling them to experience a freedom in the water which they do not experience elsewhere.
I live in Helmshore where I am happily married with two grown up children.

I have a Photographic Studio in Rawtenstall in East Lancashire where I carry out portrait, family, dance and children’s party shoots. I also undertake some commercial projects, event photography such as school proms and special birthday/anniversary celebrations. I have also photographed over 50 weddings.
I have recently started a Junior Photography Club with 10 members aged between 9 and 12 and hold photowalks and studio sessions for these young people.
